Paragliding
Porterville is a Mecca for paraglider pilots. The Cedarberg mountain
range runs for over 100km and is generally over 500m and with the
extreme summer temperatures, flying here is internationally renowned.

Hiking
We have several nature trails around our 400 hectare farm: scramble
up sandstone kopjes, climb up craggy mountains or admire the diversity
of fynbos species that the area is blessed with.

Groot Winterhoek Nature Reserve
This national park is just a few minutes drive further along the mountain.The
wilderness area comprises 30608 hectares of pristine fynbos. It boasts
superb walking trails and the famous 'Die Hel' rock pool. A permit
is required from Cape Nature.

Swimming
We have a dam with pristine water which you can swim in. Alternatively,
there is Beaverlac just down the road.

Mountain Biking
This area is a mountain biker's paradise, with heaps of interesting
trails. The Beaverlac trail is well known to West Coast mountain bikers.

Fishing
Due to strict conservation laws, which we happily adhere to (being
very concerned about the conservation of our natural environment),
we do not have trout in our dams as they are an alien (foreign to
the area) species, though we will shortly be stocking our dams with
an indigenous species, Clanwilliam Yellowfish..

4X4 Trails
There are no dedicated 4x4 trails on the farm but the fire trails on the farm are, however, fairly challenging..
